ORDER OF THE DAY
Schedule
Each monastery has a so-called ‘order of the day’, the fixed schedule that divides the days into moments of prayer, work, congregation and relaxation. All Carmel monasteries have more or less the same order of the day, although the times may differ. For this website, we have used the schedule in place at the Carmel in Bruges, as this is also the place where those interested in Carmel would receive their first introduction and formation.
